Overview: Bespoke enzyme blend for plant biomass conversion formulated to efficiently hydrolyse complex polysaccharides found in lignocellulosic materials—such as agricultural residues, grasses, and wood—into fermentable sugars for bioethanol production. This advanced blend typically includes cellulase, hemicellulase, β-glucosidase, and accessory enzymes such as xylanase and pectinase, each targeting different structural components of plant cell walls. Cellulases break down cellulose into glucose, while hemicellulases and xylanases degrade hemicellulose into xylose and other simple sugars. β-Glucosidase completes the saccharification process by converting cellobiose into fermentable glucose. The benefits of this enzymatic approach include high sugar release efficiency, reduced need for harsh chemical pretreatments, lower energy input, and enhanced overall ethanol yield.
